What will it cost to fix my IRS problem?
Answer six questions. You will see the path that likely fits, whether you even need a financial statement, and our fixed fees for each step. Nothing is charged here.
How our fees work
- Free — Free Notice Decoder. Enter your notice type and its date; the decoder explains what the notice is, the deadline it may start, and your next step. Any deadline shown is counted from the date you entered; the date printed on your letter controls. No documents are uploaded at the free step; documents are provided only at a paid step, through our upload page.
- $97 — Notice Review. Send us your IRS notice along with your own transcripts. We tell you what the notice is, what it means, and what the issues appear to be at a high level. This is information, not tax advice.
- $150 per tax year — Transcript Pull. Don't have your transcripts, or can't get them? We pull them for you under Form 8821 and send them with written findings. Many clients use their transcripts to bring their filings up to date with their own tax preparer.
- $497 — Case Analysis. We pull your transcripts, analyze your whole situation, and give you a written do-it-yourself plan.
- $1,000 — Representation. Power of attorney (Form 2848) and we represent you before the IRS. Flat $1,000.
- The $97 Notice Review is credited toward the $497 Case Analysis. The $150 Transcript Pull is a separate service and is not credited.
- Collection Information Statement (Phase 2), only if you need one. Most payment plans under $50,000 need none. When one is needed, Phase 2 services are priced in published ranges: Form 433-A workup with a Currently Not Collectible request, $1,500–$3,000; audit reconsideration, $1,500–$3,500; penalty relief, $500–$1,250. Offers in Compromise, business statements (Form 433-B), and cases with payroll taxes or an assigned IRS officer are quoted in writing after your $497 Case Analysis. We do not prepare tax returns; if returns need to be filed or amended, we refer you to a tax preparer.
- If an invoice goes unpaid: reminder at 15 days; written notice at 30 days that work is paused and the date we will withdraw; withdrawal of our authorization at 45 days, with a letter listing every IRS deadline you must still meet. Your records are returned on request.
- You can stop after any phase. You keep the written analysis and financial statement, and you may file them yourself.
