What we do
01
Representation and outcome notes
Form 8821 is a Tax Information Authorization. It lets us see your IRS account. It does not let us speak or act for you. Form 2848 is a Power of Attorney. It authorizes us to represent you before the IRS. Representation begins only after a signed engagement letter and Form 2848 filing.
Results vary by taxpayer and depend on individual facts, IRS determinations, and applicable law. We do not promise any specific resolution outcome, settlement amount, or acceptance of any offer. Published fees are honored for at least 30 days following the last date of publication.02
All 16 Resolution Programs
Complete Arsenal
The Internal Revenue Code provides several collection alternatives. Which, if any, apply depends on your filing compliance, income, assets and the collection statute.
Offer in Compromise
Ask the IRS to accept less than the full balance when your assets and future income (reasonable collection potential) cannot pay it in full before the collection statute expires. Requires a $205 application fee and 20% of a lump-sum offer with the application, unless you qualify for the low-income waiver. Available under three legal tracks: Doubt as to Collectability, Doubt as to Liability, and Effective Tax Administration.
Installment Agreements
Monthly payment plans under IRC §6159: guaranteed agreements (balances of $10,000 or less that meet §6159(c)), streamlined agreements (individuals owing $50,000 or less; in-business taxpayers owing $25,000 or less), partial-payment, and non-streamlined agreements.
Currently Not Collectible
Ask the IRS to pause active enforcement (levies) when paying would leave you unable to meet basic living expenses. Refunds are still offset, a lien may be filed, and interest and penalties keep accruing. The 10-year collection statute (CSED) continues to run.
Penalty Abatement
Remove IRS penalties from your balance through First-Time Abatement (FTA) or Reasonable Cause. Failure-to-file and failure-to-pay penalties can each reach 25% of the unpaid tax, and interest runs on both the tax and the penalties.
Bank Levy Release
Bank account frozen by the IRS? The bank must hold levied funds for 21 days before sending them to the IRS (IRC §6332(c)). That window is the best time to request a release under IRC §6343. Timing depends on the IRS.
Wage Garnishment Release
Wage levy in place? Everything above the exempt amount in IRS Publication 1494 goes to the IRS each pay period until the levy is released. We request release under IRC §6343 through the fastest channel your facts support.
Federal Tax Lien / Levy Release
Credit bureaus stopped reporting tax liens in 2018, but a lien is a public record and attaches to your property. A lien may also affect property transactions. We request withdrawals, subordinations, and discharges where the facts and IRS rules support them.
Home & Property Seizure Defense
The IRS rarely seizes real property without warning. If you've received a seizure notice, you still have legal options. Act before the 30-day CDP deadline expires.
Audit Defense & Representation
Complete IRS examination representation — correspondence, office, and field audits. We handle all IRS communications and negotiate the outcome on your behalf.
IRS Appeals & CDP Hearings
Challenge IRS decisions before an independent Appeals officer. Collection Due Process (CDP) hearings stop enforcement while your case is reviewed — 30-day deadlines apply.
U.S. Tax Court Representation
Dispute a proposed deficiency before paying: you have 90 days (150 if the notice is addressed to you outside the U.S.) from the date of the Notice of Deficiency to petition the U.S. Tax Court. We prepare the case and coordinate with Tax Court–admitted counsel for the petition and trial.
Innocent Spouse Relief
Held liable for a spouse's or ex-spouse's tax errors? Three forms of innocent spouse relief can remove your responsibility for tax debt you didn't cause.
Employment Tax (941 / Trust Fund)
Payroll tax problems can become personal liability through the Trust Fund Recovery Penalty — a 100% penalty that survives bankruptcy and follows you personally.
OIC: Doubt as to Collectability
The most common OIC track — used when your assets and future income are insufficient to pay the full debt before the 10-year collection statute expires.
OIC: Doubt as to Liability
Challenge the accuracy of the tax assessment itself. If the IRS made an error, or you have evidence the amount is wrong, you may settle for what you actually owe.
OIC: Effective Tax Administration
Available only when the IRS could collect the full balance, but doing so would cause economic hardship (individuals only) or would be unfair or inequitable because of exceptional circumstances. It is accepted only rarely.

Case Analysis: $497
Address Active Enforcement
Where the law allows, we request collection holds, file timely Collection Due Process requests, and seek levy releases under IRC §6343.
Build Your Strategy
Every case gets a custom resolution strategy. We analyze your Reasonable Collection Potential (RCP), penalty history, and financial profile to find the best path.
Negotiate & Represent
With representation under Form 2848, we communicate with the IRS on your behalf. We discuss resolution options and next steps with you before work begins.
Resolution & Compliance
After an agreement is in place, ongoing filing compliance and timely payments matter. Changed circumstances or missed terms can lead to review, default, or further collection action.
